Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, December 4, 1997 
Marion Louise Richardson, 87, of the 1000 block of Mapole Ave. died Nov. 26,
1997, at home.

A native of Norfolk, she was a retired teacher and educator of the Virginia
Public School System. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk,
and during her years of membership she served as a Sunday School teacher,
Missionary group leader, president of the Women's Club and as church clerk. She
was also a member of the Beta Theta Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.,
Federation of Colored Women's Clubs and served as president of local chapters.
She was honored by the First Calvary Baptist Church and received numerous
citations and plaques for outstanding performance as a leader, educator and
humanitarian.

She is survived by a host of devoted relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in First Calvary Baptist Church, 813
Henry St., Norfolk, by the Rev. Charles Springs. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Hale Funeral Home
is handling arrangements.
