Norfolk - A funeral service was held Friday in Bank Street Baptist Church for
Joseph D. Richardson of 745 Washington avenue, who died Nov. 29 in a Hampton
hospital. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with military honors. Graves Funeral
Home had charge.

The Norfolk native was a son of the late Joseph Richardson and Mrs. Ida
richardson and the husband of Mrs. Alice Richardson. He was a member of Bank
Street Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Besides his widow, surviving are four sons, Joseph Richardson of New York,
Edward Richardson, Carlton Richardson and Michael Richardson of Norfolk; five
daughters, Mrs. Barbara Long of New York, Miss Joann Richardson, Miss Patricia
Richardson, Miss Rita Richardson,and Miss Toni Richardson, all of Norfolk.
