Ricks of 1337 Marshall Ae. died Thursday in a hospital. He was a native of Norfolk and had retired from Norfolk and Western railway. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Winnie M. Ricks; a son, Eddie Ricks, a stepdaughter, Adell A. Brinkley, and two brothers, George Ricks and Paul Ricks, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Emma Burrell of Norfolk and Edith Crushaw of New York City; and seven grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Allie M. Hall. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a nieces, Estella Shahid, 904 Lexington St., where they will assemble for the funeral procession.
