Norfolk - Mrs. Olivia E. Ricks of 2224 Courtney Ave., the wife of Paul Ricks and
a native of Princess Anne County,died Wednesday in a hospital.

She was a member of New St. Mark Baptist Church, where she was organist 36 years
and secretary of the Deaconess Board.

Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Jones of Portsmouth,
and Mrs. Gloria J. Lawrence, Mrs. Odessa Y. Neal, and Ms. Sarah E. Ricks of
Norfolk; seven sons, Paul W. Ricks, James A. Ricks, Alfred E. Ricks, Aubrey L.
Ricks, and Larry L. Ricks of Norfolk, Randolph L. Ricks of New York, and Maurice
L. Ricks of Alaska; a sister, Mrs. Novella K. Dollar, and a brother, John L.
Thomas, both of Norfolk; and 14 grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Sunday 1:30 p.m., in New St. Mark Baptist Church by the
Rev. C. W. Tyson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in
charge. The family will be at her home.
