Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark Februry 7, 1917

Mrs. Emma Riddick, widow of Thomas Riddick of North Carolina, died yesterday 
morning at 5 o'clock at the home of Mrs. J.W. Perry, West Forty-ninth Street, 
after an illness of several weeks. She was 78 years old and had been a resident of 
Norfolk about 35 years, making her home with relatives. She was greatly esteemed. 
The funeral will take place at the residence, Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
