Funeral services for Jessie Riddick, 49, who died June 3 in a Norfolk 
hospital, were conducted Monday, June 6, at Antioch Baptist Church, where he 
was a member and served on the usher board. The Rev. J. W. Matthews 
officiated.

Mr. Riddick, of 856 Charlotte street, was a native of Suffolk, and had been 
in Norfolk 40 years. He had been employed 14 years by Peltz Brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Riddick; two sons, Jessie and 
Vincent Riddick of Norfolk; two stepsons, George Jones of Japan and Victor 
Jones of Baltimore; three daughters, Misses Yvonne and and Beverly Riddick 
and Mrs. Jean Young, all of Norfolk.

Also, one step-daughter, Mrs. Ann Harris of Germany; one sister, Mrs. Annie 
Mason of Philadelphia; three brothers, Charles W., Clarence and Davis 
Riddick, all of Norfolk, and 10 grandchildren.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
