Norfolk - Final rites were held for Mrs. Matilda Riddick, 97, of 922 Hayes 
street Thursday in Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. M. C. Southerland.  
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Princess Anne County, she was a daughter of Henry Stratton and Mrs. 
Matilda Stratton and the widow of the Rev. George Riddick.  Mrs. Riddick died 
Monday in her home after a long illness.

She was the eldest member and former president of the deaconess board of Shiloh 
Baptist Church and a member of United Order of Tents.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Riddick of Norfolk;  a 
granddaughter, Mrs. Hilda Jones;  and a great grandson.
