Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb 20,1965
Chesapeake - John E. Riddick, 81, of 1748 Liberty street, received funeral rites 
Sunday in First Baptist Church, Berkley.  He died in his home Feb. 11.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery under direction of Morning Glory Funeral Home.

Mr. Riddick, a retired employee of Colonna’s Shipyard, was a Norfolk native.  He 
was a member of First Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Riddick;  and three sisters, Miss 
Evelyn Riddick and Mrs. Faye Watson of Chesapeake and Mrs. Edna Dixon of 
Brooklyn.
