She entered into eternal rest at Chesapeake Regional Hospital in Chesapeake, VA on Thursday, May 25, 2017. “Net” as she was affectionately called, was educated in the Sussex County Public School System. She relocated to the Norfolk, VA where she was united in Holy Matrimony to Roosevelt Riddick. She worked for the United States Postal Service in the Portsmouth, VA until retiring after more than 30 years of dedicated service. “Net” joined the First Baptist Church of Lamberts Point under the Pastoral Leadership of Reverend Anthony C. Paige. She remained a faithful member until her illness. “Net” enjoyed spending time with family and friends and just enjoying life. She was predeceased in death by her husband, three brothers and five sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Arnold, Reginald and Steven Riddick; two daughters: Sandra O’Denyo and Kathryn Riddick; grandchildren, Traivion Singleton, Isis O’Denyo, and N’Kosi Mteeka; two stepsons: Carlton and George Riddick; one stepdaughter, Donna Mteeka; two sisters: Mary Ransome (Eddie), and Sarah Moore; one brother-in-law: James Riddick and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church Lambert’s Point, 1268 W. 38th St. Norfolk, VA 23508. A viewing will be held, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, 5605 Portsmouth Blvd. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
