The Virginian-Pilot, Monday, June 4, 1979

NORFOLK - Mrs. Viola Louise Riddick of 915 Albert Ave., a native of Wilmington,
N.C., and the wife of Roosevelt Riddick, died Saturday in a hospital.

She retired from Liberty Park day Nursery after 32 years and was a member of
Metropolitan .M.E. Zion Church. She was a member of the Senior Usher Board and a
sponsor of the Junior Usher Board.

Other survivors include two sons, Joseph B. Riddick of Indianapolis, Ind., and
Lester Riddick of Baltimore; three sisters, Mrs. Annie B. Nixon, Mrs. Inez Green,
and Mrs. Gladys Howard of Wilmington; and seven grandchildren.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service, where arrangements are pending.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK - A funeral for Mrs. Viola Louise Riddick of 915 Albert Ave. will be held
Thursday at 1 p.m. in Metropolitan AMEZ Church by the Rev. Richard A. Councill.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  wake will be held in Riddick Funeral service
tonight from 7 to 8. The body will be in church at 10 .m. Thursday.
