Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, December 12, 1997 
Beverly Riddick, 42, of the 3800 block of Lamplighter Court, passed quietly and
peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

She was born in Norfolk to Dorothy Wortham Riddick and the late Jessie Riddick
Sr. Beverly was the special light and joy of her family and was a member of
Basilica of St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception. She was employed at the
Tidewater Occupational Center prior to her brief illness and death.

She will be sorely missed by her mother, Dorothy W. Riddick; her loving and
caring sister and brothers, Yvonne Riddick-Gibson, Jesse Riddick Jr. and Vincent
Riddick; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Basilica of St. Marys of
the Immaculate Conception by Father Edward L. Richardson with burial in Calvary
Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m today at the funeral home. The family
will be at 3809 Lamplighter Court in the West Norfolk section of Portsmouth.
