Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, March 15, 2001 
Benjamin L. ``Ben'' Riddick, 79, of the 500 block of W. 34th St., died March 12,
2001, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Norfolk, he completed high
school and retired as a foreman from VEPCO after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Riddick; two sisters, Vivian E. Keaton
and Ruby J. Sessom; sister-in-law, Lucinda H. Riddick, all of Norfolk; and a
host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna
Riddick Northington and Richard Riddick.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday at Hale Funeral Home by Dr. Frank Guns
with burial in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at the
residence Saturday at 11 a.m. for the procession. The family will receive
friends and guests today at noon at 514 W. 34th St., Norfolk.
