Asbury Riddick - Burial rites for Asbury Riddick, on of Southside’s oldest 
citizens, who died Dec. 7, at his home, 111 East Liberty street, South Norfolk, 
after a short illness, were held Sunday at First Trinity AME Church with the 
pastor, the Rev. H. B. Threadgill, officiating. Mr. Riddick was an outstanding 
member of Trinity.

The deceased is survived by two daughters, Miss Arlethia Riddick and Mrs. Ophelia 
Miller; two sons, Ernest and Narrow Riddick; seven grandchildren, and several 
great-grandchildren. Interment was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Chatman Funeral 
Home in charge.
