Riganto, 82, died peacefully at his home in Indialantic, FL, on July 21, 2015. He was born in Norfolk, VA, to Frank and Angelina (nee Chinchello) Riganto. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Maury Riganto, and sister, Louise Favalora. A graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia, Gus served in the U. S. Air Force before and during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he became a restaurateur in the Virginia Beach area for over 30 years, owning and operating Angelina's, Caesar's on the Beach, and White Sands Catering. In 1991, he retired to Central Florida where he quickly came out of retirement to manage Molly's, a restaurant in Indian Harbour Beach, FL, where he organized The Hartmann-Flagg Auction, a high profile area-wide benefit for 2 local policemen killed in the line of duty. Gus later managed The Chatterbox, a nightclub in Melbourne, FL, and thereafter a shopping mall, The Village Shoppes of Paradise Beach, for the Cappelli Family of Valhalla, NY. He was an avid sports fan all his life and particularly enjoyed fishing and traveling. Gus is survived by his wife of 22 years, Theresa "Terry" Ognosky Riganto. Other surviving family members are a son, Frank Riganto II, as well as a grandson, Frank Riganto III, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Catherine Lipoli, of Norfolk and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In accordance with Gus' wishes, there will be no viewing. The family will receive friends at noon preceding the 1:00 PM memorial mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk, Virginia, on Saturday, August 1. Interment will follow the mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements.
