Riggins Died From Natural Causes, Coroner Kight Says After Inquest Coroner Kight held an autopsy yesterday afternoon over the remains of C.H. Riggins, who died in jail Tuesday night after being committed for thirty days by Police Justice Simmons. The autopsy showed that the dead man died from purely natural causes, the immediate cause being Bright’s Disease. In view of this fact it is not expected that the brother of the deceased will sue the city as he indicated he would, before the autopsy. It was shown by Coroner Kight that though the man did die suddenly his death could not have been the result of neglect on the part of the jailers. The funeral of Riggins will take place at Smith’s Funeral Apartments this morning and the interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery (sic Cedar Grove).
