Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark September 3, 1913
Mrs. Lydia Riggs, widow of Riley B. Riggs, died at her residence, 1419 West 
Brambleton avenue, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She was a native of 
Camden, N.C., but had lived in Norfolk 44 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R.B. Bayto, and one sister, Miss Bettie 
Fulton, both of Norfolk. The funeral will take place from the above residence 
this afternoon at 5 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Reuben Meredith, 
rector of St. Peter's P.E. church. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
