He was formerly an assistant Sports Editor of the Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch. Surviving him are one sister, Miss M. Inez Riley, of Norfolk; two brothers, Constant J. Riley, of Norfolk, and Ralph R. Riley, of Charlotte, N.C., and a niece, Mrs. Fred French Harris, of Siluria, Ala. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments today (Monday) at 8 p.m. The family has requested that flowers be omitted, but those desiring may make a donation to the King’s Daughters, of Norfolk, in Mr. Riley’s memory.
