Virginian-Pilot April 3, 1963
PORTSMOUTH — Miss Mary Inez Riley, 72, former Norfolk resident and a Portsmouth 
native, died Tuesday at 2:45 a.m. in a Richmond hospital.
She was a former U.S. Customs employee and a daughter of John T. and Mrs. Annie 
A. Riley.
A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Norfolk and its Sodality, Miss Riley 
also was a charter member of Catholic Daughters of America and Ameri¬can Legion 
Post 118.
The body was brought to Foster Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited 
tonight at 8.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
