Virginian Pilot July 26, 1960

Anthony Riportella, 79, husband of Mrs. Adelena Riportella and a son of the late 
Leonard and Mrs. Rosa Riportella, died at his home in Butts Station Monday at 2 
a.m.
He was a native of Italy but had lived in this area for 60 years. He was a 
member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and Roma Lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Leonard Riportella of Norfolk and 
Frank Riportella of Norfolk County; a daughter, Mrs. Frederick DeNuccio of 
Honolulu, Hawaii; and seven grandchildren.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
A rosary service will be held at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Wednesday at 7 
p.m.

NORFOLK- The body of Anthony Riportella, who died Monday at his residence at 
Butts Station, will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. 
Matthew’s Catholic Church for a funeral service Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
