Virginian Pilot May 24, 1904

Mrs. Myrtle A. Luke-Risdon, wife of Mr. Hugh C. Risdon, died in this city 
yesterday. The deceased was the daughter of the late Rev. James M.C. Luke, 
former pastor of Court Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth. She is survived by 
three children. The interment will be private.

The many friends of Mrs. Myrtle A. Luke Risdon, wife of Mr. Hugh C. Risdon, will 
regret to hear of her death, which occurred at the home of her husband 
yesterday. The deceased was the daughter of the late James M.C. Luke, who was 
pastor of the Court Street Baptist Church, of Portsmouth, for many years. She is 
survived by her husband and three children - J.B. Brockett, Claude W. Brockett 
and Gladys B. Brockett. The interment will be private.
