The Virginian-Pilot, Monday, September 11, 1978
NORFOLK - Mrs. Daisy Earline River, 60, of 1401 Johnston Road, Apt. 2, a native of
Murfreesboro, N.C., and the wife of Leanard Rivers, died Tuesday in Petersburg.

She was a Baptist.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Scott and Mrs. Mary Tyner of
Norfolk, and Mrs. Marion Sessoms of Brooklyn; two sons, James Larry Rivers of
California and Charles Rivers of New York; 10 grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. in Twilight Chapel by Bishop L.E.
Willis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight
from 7 to 9 at Twilight Funeral Home. The family will assemble at her home.
