Roach, widow of Richard A. Roach, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annie L. Hendren, 210 Maple Avenue, yesterday morning at 3:30 o'clock, after a long illness. She was 74 years of age and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Annie Hendren and four grandchildren, Leon Redmond and Harry Hendren and Margaret Roach, the latter of Portsmouth. Mrs. Roach was a native of North Carolina, but had been living here many years. She was an esteemed lady and a consistent member of Memorial M.E. Church. She had many warm friends who will regret to learn of her death. The funeral will take place at the above residence Sunday afternoon, in Magnolia Cemetery. ********************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Margaret E. Roach will be conducted at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Annie L. Hendren, 210 Maple Avenue this afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. S.J. Battin, the new pastor of Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
