Gallup, Morrison Place, Portlock, yesterday at 12:45 p.m. after a short illness. A native and life-long resident of Portlock, Norfolk County, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Mrs. Nannie Rowland Morrison and wife of the late Harry E. Roane. She was a charter member of the Rosemont Christian Church, where she taught the Bible class for 30 years. Five years ago the Sallye Roane Bible Class was named for her. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Gallup, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fannie M. Herbert, of Portlock; three brothers, Thomas O. Morrison, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; H.R. Morrison and A.S. Morrison, both of Portlock and five grandchildren. The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Rosemont Christian Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
