ROBERTS DIES SUDDENLY Was Well Known Steward At Chamber of Commerce Dining Room Walter L. Roberts, for many years steward of the Virginia Club and more recently connected with the Norfolk-Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce dining room in that capacity, died at 11:20 o'clock last night at his hone, 109 West Nineteenth Street, after a few hours' illness. He worked yesterday and apparently was in good health. His fatal illness came upon him suddenly. Mr. Roberts was well known and highly esteemed. He was a native of Petersburg and had lived here 50 years. He was 59 years old. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine C. Roberts and a son, Marcellus A. Roberts.
