Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 23, 1936

Mrs. Catherine Rhea Roberts, aged 66, widow of Walter L. Roberts and daughter of 
the late John T. and Mrs. Virginia Tulane Rhea, died at her residence, 283 
Lucille Avenue, Riverview, yesterday morning at 3:40 o'clock. Mrs. Roberts was a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She is survived by one son, Marcellus 
Roberts; four grandchildren, Marguerite, Walter, William and Dorothy Roberts; a 
sister, Mrs. S.J. Taylor and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be 
taken from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, to 
St. Mary's Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Roberts was a member, for services 
tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Sunday, November 22, 1936, at 3:40 o’clock a.m., CATHERINE RHEA, widow of Walter 
L. Roberts, and daughter of the late John T. and Virginia Tulane Rhea, in the 
67th year of her age.
 Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, Nos. 610-12 East 
Freemason street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services TUESDAY MORNING at 
10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
