Virginian Pilot December 15, 1957

Marcellus A. Roberts, 65, husband of Mrs. Margaret E. Roberts and son of the 
late Walter L. and Mrs. Katherine Rhea Roberts, died yesterday at 7:55 a.m. at 
the residence, 1125 Bedford Ave.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he had been an inspector in the Health 
Department for 35 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. 
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Walter M. Roberts, of California 
and William J. Roberts, of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite C. Luecke and 
Miss Dorothy A. Roberts, of Norfolk and one granddaughter.
The body will be take from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments today at 
7:30 p.m.

December 14, 1957, at 7:55 a.m., MARCELLUS A. ROBERTS, husband of Mrs. Margaret 
E. Roberts and son of the late Walter L. and Mrs. Catherine Rhea Roberts, in the 
66th year of his age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for 
services MONDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
