Virginian Pilot November 27, 1900 
Mrs. Herbert P. Roberts, who is well-known in the town, died Sunday morning about 
4 o'clock, after an illness of two weeks, at her home on Eleventh street, in the 
20th year of her age.  She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss.  
The funeral was conducted from the residence of her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. F.C. 
Pierce, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. T.C. Skinner of the Berkley Avenue 
Baptist Church, officiating.  The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.  Following 
were the pallbearers:  Messrs Laburn Bartlett, G.M. Long, J.A. McKimmey, Henry 
Wilson, Wm. West and Benj. Hodgers.
