The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday December 2, 1951
Mrs. Ruth Elvira Roberts, widow of Thomas A. Roberts, died yesterday at 9:45
p.m. at her residence, 3124 Webster Avenue, Oaklette, Norfolk County, after an
illness of four years.

A native of Wilkes County, NC, she had lived in this section  34 years.  She was
a daughter of the late Randall and Mrs. Rebecca Felts Welborn.  She was a member
of the Union Baptist Church of Wilkes County.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Minnie L. Wiggins, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Lillie
L. Roberts of Virginia Beach;  three sons, Charles L. Roberts, of Norfolk, E. O.
Roberts and George T. Roberts, both of Virginia Beach;  one sister, Mrs. M. J.
Roberts of Winston-Salem, NC;  10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where funeral
services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Riverside
Memorial Park.
