Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 20, 1912

The funeral of Charles Herbert Roberts, a former resident of Norfolk, was held 
at Newport News yesterday morning and was conducted by Rev. T.C. Darst, rector 
of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of that city.
The body, accompanied by Mr. Darst, members of the family, and a delegation from 
the Newport News Painters' Union, of which he was a member, was brought to 
Norfolk, and the interment took place in Elmwood Cemetery, the services at the 
grave being conducted by Mr. Darst.
The following were pallbearers: L.G. Thomas, W. Ashburn, A. Birney, Harry H. 
Jones, J.F. Buchanan, R.W. Malbone, all of Newport News.
