The Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 6, 1945
Mrs. Regina Mariott Roberts, 63, widow of William Watson Roberts, and daughter 
of the late Joseph and Mrs. Kate Smith Marriott, a native of Baltimore, Md., 
and a resident of Norfolk for 40 years, died at 1 a.m. yesterday at the 
residence, 908 Redgate avenue, after a lingering illness. Surviving her are one 
daughter, Miss Esther Marshall Roberts, two step-sons, Barringer D. and Richard 
M. Marshall, all of Norfolk. Services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor of 
Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Roberts was a member, 
officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
