The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Tuesday February 18, 1930
William D. Roberts, aged 82, died at a local hospital yesterday morning 
after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgie L. Roberts. 
Mr. Roberts was a native of Louisa County, but had been a resident of 
Norfolk for the last 40 years. He was for that number of years 
representative here of the York Lock and Safe Company and was well known. He 
was a member of the Ghent Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
