Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark September 13, 1929

              W. W. ROBERTSON SUCCUMBS AFTER SHORT ILLNESS    

W. W. Robertson, aged 55 years, died yesterday morning at 8:45 o'clock at his 
residence, 358 West Freemason Street. Mr. Robertson had been ill only a short 
time and his death came as a shock to his many friends. He was prominent in 
Norfolk business circles and at one time was connected with the Standard Oil 
Company. He had not been actively engaged in business for the past two years.
Mr. Robertson was the son of the late James Brooke and Elizabeth Cuthbert 
Robertson, a native of Petersburg but a resident of Norfolk for the past 10 
years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Blamire Robertson; two 
daughters, Mrs. Andrew Broaddus, of Louisville, Ky. and Mrs. Marguerite Groner, 
of Norfolk; two sons, W.W. Robertson, Jr., of Louisville, Ky. and Peyton Bruce 
Robertson, of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Alan G. Burrow, of Norfolk and three 
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o'clock. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery.

W. W. Robertson - Funeral services for Mr. Robertson, whose death occurred  
Thursday, will be held at the residence, 358 West Freemason street, this 
afternoon, at 2 o’clock. Interment will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
