Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, June 27, 1995 
Beatrice Robertson, 84, of the 100 block of Wilson Parkway, died June 23, 1995,
in Chesapeake.

She was born in Norfolk County and was a member of New First Baptist Church
Taylorsville in Portsmouth, the Usher Board, Missionaries and 5W Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Whitfield of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ruth
Sanders and Elizabeth Miller of Philadelphia; a brother, William Miller of
Portsmouth; one grandchild, Steven Harrell of Chesapeake; three
great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Willoughby Whitfield of Chesapeake; and one
sister-in-law, Brenda Miller of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in New First Baptist Church
Taylorsville, Portsmouth, by Dr. T. Melvin Steele. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The remains will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. to noon
Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at 3818 Augustine Circle, Portsmouth,
at 11:15 a.m. Thursday for the processional to the church. Arrangements are by
Serenity Funeral Home.
