Born in Norfolk, she was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1923, and Virginia Normal and Industrial Institute, currently Virginia State University. She was a retired school teacher of Norfolk Public Schools. She taught at John T. West and Lott Carey Elementary schools. She was a lifetime member of Bank Street Memorial Church and served as the Sunday School secretary. She was also a member, grand secretary and treasurer emeritus of State Grand Lodge No. 6 Order of Good Samaritans. The widow of Samuel Eugene Robinson, she is survived by a nephew, Leo V. Williams Jr. and wife, Carolyn L. Williams, of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces and other nephews. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Cedric Kirkland-Harris. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery . Family and friends will be at 2169 Margaret Drive, Virginia Beach, Saturday at 10 a.m. for the procession. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
