Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, November 1, 2002 
Pearl Eaton Robinson, 95, of the 900 block of Marietta Ave., went to be with her
Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at a local hospital.

A native of Newport News, Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of the late Henry Lewis
Eaton and Eliza Lassiter Eaton. She was the widow of James W. Robinson Sr. She
had retired from the Norfolk public school system as an educator in 1972.

Mrs. Robinson was a faithful and loyal member of Queen Street Baptist Church for
68 years. Before declining health she participated in many activities of the
church including: the Senior Missionary Society; Church Sunday School; the
Willing Workers Club; superintendent of Church School; the Board of Christian
Education; Girl Scout leader; a regular participant and attendee of the Baptist
General Convention of Virginia, the American Baptist Churches of the South
Convention, and the Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention through the
church's alignment with those conventions. She really enjoyed working for the Lord.

Survivors include a devoted and loving daughter, Majoria Robinson of the home;
James W. Robinson Jr. of Bangor, Maine, Paul W. Robinson Sr. (Elois) of Norfolk;
three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, special caregiver, Dorothy Graves;
and many nieces, nephews, extended families, friends and other relatives.

A funeral will be held Saturday at noon in Queen Street Baptist Church with Dr.
Peter M. Wherry officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery . The
body will lie in repose at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Hale Funeral Home is
in charge.
