Robinson, member of the House of Delegates from Norfolk, died in Richmond Richmond on Saturday night around 11 o’clock of apoplexy. He was found lying on the side the side walk in a senseless condition a few steps from where he boarded. He was carri was carried to his room, but died shortly afterwards. Bristol News, January 28, 1879 The death of Dr. E.C. Robinson, one of the Norfolk delegates, on Saturday night last last, was much unexpected. He was a very stout and apparently healthy man, thou though over 70 years of age. He was seen by a Negro woman to fall on the side sidewalk, and after telling who he was and where he boarded, became insensible and and died in a short time. He was buried in Norfolk on Tuesday. Bristol News, January 28, 1879 Dr. E.C. Robinson, member of the House of Delegates from Norfolk, died suddenly in Richmond last Saturday evening aged 73. He was a stout, robust man, and as is supposed fell on the sidewalk from an attack of apoplexy and after a brief period of unconsciousness died.
