Gibbs, 820 Westover avenue, after an illness of several years. He was widely known as a man of sterling qualities and was for many years prominent in the religious and political life of Norfolk and Baltimore. He was at one time a member of the City Council and later served the county as magistrate in Tanners Creek district. Mr. Rockafeller was born near Fredericksburg, in December, 1852. He leaves his wife, Frances Rockafeller, and three children, Mrs. W.E. Gibson, of Richmond; Mrs. John M. Gibbs, of Norfolk and C.H. Rockafeller, of Pennsylvania. The funeral will take place Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the residence. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
