Virginia Beach - Mrs. Mary Rodgers, 78, of Southgate Ave., formerly of 163-37 
Mathias Ave., Jamaica, L. I. NY, died Thursday, Sept. 1, in a convalescent home.

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Elijah Rodgers.  She was a member of 
the Mother’s Board, Banquet  Committee, and honorary secretary of Antioch Church 
of God in Christ, NY.

Survivors include two cousins, Mrs. Maggie Taylor of Norfolk, and Mrs. Louis 
Watford of Virginia Beach.

A funeral was held Monday, Sept. 5, in Gethsemane Church of God in Christ, 
Campostella Road, by the Rev. G. W. Hardy.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  
Jones Funeral Home had charge.
