Norfolk - A funeral service for Willie Earl Rodgers, 29, of 721 Kimball court,
was held March 20 in Union Christian Church. The Rev. C. L. Nixon delivered the
eulogy.

A native of Martin County, NC, he died March 15. He was the husband of Mrs.
Alice Rodgers and a son of Bruce and Mrs. Emerline Latham Rodgers. He was
employed by Merchants Trucking Company.

Besides his wife and parents, surviving are a daughter, Miss Sharon Rodgers;
Four sons, Willie E. Rodgers, Wayne Rodgers, Dwight Rodgers and Darryl Rodgers;
four sisters, Mrs. Mary Collins, Mrs. Elaine Miller, Miss Rene Rodgers and Miss
Vanessa Rodgers, all of Norfolk; and four brothers, Bruce Rodgers Jr., of Camp
Lejeune, NC, Leon Rodgers, Lawrence Rodgers and Rockey Rodgers, all of Norfolk.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Chatham Funeral Home in charge.
