Funeral services for Robert Rodgers, Sr., 75, will be conducted March 29 at 1 
p.m. at First Baptist Church, Campostella, by the Rev. R. L. Harris, pastor.

A native of Princess Anne county, he was a member of Palmolive Lodge and died 
March 23 at his residence, 712 W. Liberty street.  He was the son of Solomon and 
Mrs. Hester Rogers and the husband of Mrs. Armecia Rodgers.

His survivors are seven sons, Aaron, Frank, Willie, Robert Jr., Wallace Rodgers, 
all of Norfolk;  Joseph Rodgers of Atlantic City, NJ, and James Rodgers of 
Jacksonville, FL;  five daughters, Mrs. Mary Brickhouse of South Norfolk;  Mrs. 
Dorothy Hunt, Mrs. Bridie Stokes, Mrs. Ernestine Murray of Norfolk and Miss 
Gladys Rodgers of Atlantic City, NJ;  and fifteen grandchildren.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fitchetts Funeral Home in charge.
