Norfolk Virginian December 30, 1893

ROGERS - Passed into rest, December 29th, 1893, at 7:30 a.m., ANNIE E. ROGERS, 
wife of William N. Rogers, and granddaughter of the late Susan Pollard, of New 
Kent County, Va.
The funeral will take place from St. Paul's P.E. Church, SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 
2:30 o'clock.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

                        Death of an Estimable Lady

Mrs. Annie E. Rogers, wife of Mr. W.N. Rogers, of this city, died at the 
residence of her husband, on Church Street, at 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning, 
after a very protracted and painful illness, which she bore with humble 
submission and Christian fortitude. Her death, though not unexpected, has 
created a painful void among a large circle of friends and acquaintances who 
loved and admired her for her many excellent traits of character and Christian 
virtues. For a number of years she had been a consistent member of St. Paul's 
Episcopal Church, from which her funeral will take place at 2:30 o'clock 
tomorrow afternoon.
