Prior to her tenure as lunchroom dietician at the Willard School, she spent four years as dietician at the original Lafayette School, and for several years taught home economics at John Marshall and the old George Washington School, Berkley. She attended Harrisonburg State Normal, now Madison College, for two years. She was a member of the Neimeyer-Shaw Chapter of the U.D.C. and was also a member and past matron of the Elizabeth Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She was the daughter of the late James F. and Elishea Drummond Tatem and a niece of Mrs. M.S. Tatem and Mrs. Margaret E. Tatem, of Norfolk. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. S.B. Pretlow and Louisa C. Tatem, a nephew, James B. Pretlow and a foster niece, Mrs. T. Franklin Waters, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
