Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 20, 1913
                            MRS. EMILY A. ROGERS
Mrs. Emily A. Rogers, aged 68 years, widow of W.J. Rogers, died last evening at 
7:30 o'clock at her home, 27 D Street, South Norfolk.  She was a native of Ohio, 
but had been a resident of this section 24 years.  She is survived by four 
children, one son, C.P. Rogers and three daughters, Mrs. W.R. Abbott, Mrs. C.F. 
Abbott and Mrs. Bernard Roland and two brothers, Walter and Flora Williams, both 
of Ohio
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Williams of Ohio.  The 
funeral arrangements will be announced later.

ROGERS - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W.R. Abbott, 27 D Street, South 
Norfolk, Va., Tuesday evening, August 19, 1913, at 7:30 o'clock, Mrs. EMILY A 
ROGERS, wife of the late W.J. Rogers and daughter of the late Daniel and 
Caroline Williams, aged 68 years, 6 months and 1 day.
The funeral will take place at the above residence THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON at 
4 o'clock.  Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.  Friends invited.

The funeral of Mrs. Emily A. Rogers, widow of W.J. Rogers, will take place at 
the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W.R. Abbott, 27 D Street, this afternoon at 
4 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. D.A. Keys, pastor of the South Norfolk 
Christian Church.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
