Norfolk - Funeral services were conducted recently for Octavius Rogers Sr. 
of 1024 Lancaster Street in Hale Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. J. L. 
Kearney officiated.

A native of Williamston, NC, he was a son of the late Johnson and Mrs. 
Beatrice Rogers.

He leaves two sons, Albert Rogers of Landover MD and Octavius Rogers Jr. of 
Youngstown OH;  two brothers, Willie J. Rogers of Norfolk and Walter Rogers 
of Baltimore and two sisters, Mrs. Rosa M. Woolard of Norfolk and Mrs. Eula 
M. Askew of Williamston.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
