Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - October 10, 1993
Ernest John Roig Sr., 70, of Route 2, Wedgewood Drive, died Oct. 8, 1993, in 
his residence.
Mr. Roig was born in Metuchen, N.J. He was a retired police officer at 
Norfolk Naval Base and a life member of V.F.W. Post 4809 and D.A.V. - B.L. 
Hines Chapter 21. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce D. Roig; a stepdaughter, Dawn P. Davis of 
Litchfield, Ariz.; two sons, Ronald J. Roig of Norfolk and Ernest J. Roig 
Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepson, Gregory D. Bennett of California; and 
five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Cemetery, 
Norfolk, Va. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. V.F.W. services will be conducted at the 
graveside.
