Virginian-Pilot March 24, 1953
Fred Romeo, 71, husband of Mrs. Jennie P. Romeo and son of the late Pacific and 
Mrs. Julia Perfetti Romeo, a native of Italy and a resident of Norfolk for 51 
years, died at his residence, 805 West 35th Street, yesterday at 6:30 p.m. He 
was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of that 
church, and Roma Lodge No. 254, Sons of Italy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Pacific and Augustus Romeo, and 
one daughter, Mrs. John Carlo, all of Norfolk; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-
grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tomorrow 
at 7:30 p.m.
