Oliver Funeral Apts. September 2024 Pacific “Pac” Romeo, 89, was born and raised in Norfolk. He was a 1953 graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, a member of The Knights of Columbus, and the Order of Alhambra. He was the retired import-export manager at Associated Transport, the right-hand man of "Uncle" Pete Decker of the Decker Law Firm, and co-founder of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Pacific was an avid world traveler and sports fan. He loved his Yankees, Redskins, and Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Pacific is survived by his bride of 70 years, Barbara, and their two sons, Michael and Steven. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Romeo Kesler, and his son, Robert Romeo. A memorial service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM followed by an inurnment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
