Virginia Romeo, 91, of the 9600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., passed away Oct. 18, 
2003 in a local hospital.

A native of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Romeo was a retired supermarket checker with 23 
years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Ladies 
Auxiliary of the Saltanas of Padul 69, Alhambra.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Augustus Romeo; her daughter, Ann 
Romeo Dorman and her husband Randy of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Brandon 
and Lyndsay Dorman; a great-grandchild, Corey Blake Palenchak; and a sister, 
Chanie Riggs and her husband Marvin of Pungo. She is also survived by many nieces, 
nephews and many special friends, especially Marge Geller.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church with Father David McGuire officiating. The entombment will follow 
in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the 
church today from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of 
one's choice. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling 
arrangements.
