NORFOLK - Augustus Romeo, 91, died June 21, 2005, in Alive Hospice Center, 
Nashville, Tenn. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk until he moved to Tennessee 
to be with his daughter in April of 2004
He was born in Norfolk and retired civil service after 39 years of service at the 
Norfolk Naval Air Station as a sheet metal worker. He was preceded in death by his 
wife of 68 years, Virginia Romeo. He was a member and usher for more than 50 years 
at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, was a 4th degree knight with the Knights of 
Columbus, Council 3548 and a member of the High Order of Alhambra
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann Romeo Dorman and Randy Powers 
Dorman; three grandchildren, Lyndsay Dorman, Brandon Powers Dorman and Candi 
Dorman; one great-grandson, Corey Blake, all of Nashville, Tenn.; one great-
grandson-to-be, Malachi Powers Dorman; nieces, Barbara Romeo and Alice Carlo; 
nephews, Pacific Romeo Jr. and Vincent Carlo; great-nieces, Debbie Romeo, Patricia 
Carlo, Diane Carlo and Carol Bancroft; great-nephews, Michael Romeo with four 
children, Steven Romeo with one child and Robert Romeo, all of Norfolk; a niece, 
Joanne and Art Bruno and two children of Richmond, Va.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. David McGuire. Burial will follow in St. Mary's 
Cemetery The family will receive friends at the church today from 6 to 8 p.m. 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
