Ropero, aged 33, husband of Grace Lowe Ropero, died Monday morning at a hospital in Tampa, Fla., it was learned here yesterday. He was a native of Manila, and had been a resident of Norfolk; for the past 16 years, residing at 116 Chelsea avenue. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ygnice C. and Deloris E. Ropero; three sons, Sidney A., Aderline C. J. and Ronald F. Ropero, all of Norfolk, and one sister, Miss Amelia Ropero, of Honolulu. The body will arrive in Norfolk this morning and will be taken to the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, pending completion of funeral arrangements. Pascual N. Ropero - Funeral services for Mr. Ropero, whose death occurred Monday in Tampa, Fla., were conducted at the residence, 116 Chelsea avenue, yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock, the Rev. Martin T. Quinn, assistant pastor of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and many beautiful floral tributes. The casket was covered with sprays of pink and white carnations, sweetpeas and snapdragons. During the services, Mrs. A. E. Price sang, “Face to Face,” with Miss Grace Price as accompanist. Pallbearers were M. Pascual, P. S. Ungi, G. L. Baktad, P. Navarro, C. D. Manugerro, D. Manalo, F. Frisco and Phil LaVilla. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
